How to Prevent Access to Command Prompt in Windows 7

You can prevent user to access Command prompt in windows 7. This this very useful tool to prevent user to run hacking command. You can do this setting with the help of Group Policy Editor and also you can restrict with Registry Editor . There is many thing you can do command prompt such as Access remote computer via telnet, Uninstall Any Program etc.

1. Click on Start button then Type gpedit.msc in search box then , press Enter .

or Press Windows Key + R Key then type gpedit.msc and then Press Enter to open Group Policy Editor Windows




2. Now on  the Local Group policy Editor Windows , Navigate User Configuration => Administrative Templates => System , then on the Right pane Double-Click on Prevent Access to the Command Prompt .




3.  Click on Enabled Radio button , then Click ” Disable the Command prompt script processing also ? ” Drop-down menu  and Select Yes .

Now If you will try to access Command Prompt then message will show like this  …….


Now any one will try to run any command then they can’t able to type command. Its a great feature in windows to prevent from unauthorized accessing.
