You can Hide Drive in Window 7 through Group policy. Its used to prevent user to access drive. Suppose you have your PC and other user also working on that PC, If you have your personal data on any drive then you can Hide that drive . after Hide that drive Drive will not be Appear on My Computer Explorer. You can Prevent user to access drive in windows 7
How to Hide Drive in Window 7 through Group policy
1. Click on Start button , then Type in Search box gpedit.msc to open Group policy editor then Press Enter
2. In the Local Group policy Editor window Click on User Configuration , then Navigate Administrative templates, then Click on Window Component .
3. Double-click on Windows Explorer under Windows Component, then Double-click on Hide these specified drive in My computer .
4. Click on Enabled Radio button ,then Select Restrict D drive only in Drop-Down list, Click Apply , then OK.
Now Go to the My Computer there is New Volume( D:) Has been Hidden.
