Enable and Disable Gadgets in Windows 7 through Group Policy

Enable and Disable Gadgets in Windows 7. If you don’t like gadget on your desktop then you can disable to add gadget on your desktop. sometime you disable then another person add gadget again and again then you can block to add gadget to display on desktop through Group policy  You can disable unnecessary gadget on your computer.

1.  Click on Start button then Type Gpedit.msc and then click on gpedit under programs .


Click on Start Button















2.  Now Local group Policy Editor Windows open, Now Navigate User Configuration => administrative Templates => Windows Components => Desktop Gadgets and then on the Right pane Right- Click on Turn off desktop gadget and then Click on Edit.

3. Now Click on Enable radio button to Disable gadget then click on Apply and then Ok.


Click on Enable















Now gadgets has been disable , if user will try to add gadget on windows 7 desktop it it will Show massage like below Image .

1. Follow steps 1st and 2nd , then Click on Not Configured Radio Button and then Apply and then On
 
 
2. Now Right -click on Desktop and then Click on Gadget .
 
 
3. Now Right-Click on Gadget which you want to Add on your Desktop and then Click on Add.

Now Gadget will Appear on your desktop
