How to Delete Run Command History In Windows 7

You can delete Run Command History In Windows 7 through Registry editor tool. Each successful Run command saved in database of Registry. For privacy purpose you can clear run command history so that other person can not access that command. All recent command shows when you click on drop-down menu. as well as you remove any particular command from list.

  1. First of all Press Windows Key + R, then type regedit and then press enter.

2. Now on the registry editor windows Navigate below key-:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Explorer\RunMRU

3. Now you see that, many string values such as a,b,c,d,e. Each string value contains a specific run command. Now Right-Click on string value which command you have to delete.

In my case, i have to delete Prefetch command, then i will Right-click on string value “e” then click on delete. then it will ask for confirmation then click on Yes.

4. If you want to Delete All Command from list, then Right-Click on MRUList then Click on Modify…
