How to Create Shortcut to Eject CD Drive In Windows 7

In windows you can Create Shortcut to Eject CD Drive on you windows Desktop. You can select your own keyboard shortcut key which you want.  NirCmd is very useful utility for this task. Its very easy to create shortcut on desktop you can eject or Load CD/DVD just one click on Desktop.

1. First Click here to Download NirCmd utility , then Copy Nircmd  to C: Drive .

2. Now Right-Click on Desktop then Click on New and then Click on Shortcut.

3. Now Browse the Path of NirCmd.exe file where you have saved and then Run command cdrom open and give CD/DVD Drive letter , and then Click on Next .

 

Example -:
                        “C:Program Filesnircmd.exe” cdrom open D:

4. Now Give the Shortcut name Eject CD and then Click on Finish .


5. Now  Eject CD Shortcut has been created on Desktop . Now you can Eject CD/DVD by just Double-click on  Eject CD shortcut on your desktop .

Create shortcut to Load CD/DVD Drive 
To Create Shortcut to close CD/DVD drive Follows same as above process , but Put  cdrom close instead of cdrom open .

6. To Create Keyboard  Shortcut Right-click on Eject CD shortcut Icon then click on Properties .

 

7. On the Properties windows Click on Shortcut Tab, then Assign Shortcut key in the Shortcut key Box, then click on Apply and Ok .
